Pearle Ann Arsenault, widow of the late Eric Arsenault, of Ann Street, Miramichi, passed away at her residence, on Monday, May 24, 2010, at the age of 93.
Born in Blissfield, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Moran) Bowes. She was a homemaker; a retired employee of the Newcastle Medical clinic and attended St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi; former member of the C.W.L. of St. Marys Roman Catholic Church and former member of the Miramichi marathon bridge club. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, chroceting, gardening and spending time with family.
She is survived by five daughters, Margaret Kerr (John), Erica (Rickie) Pyne, all of Miramichi, Eva Arsenault (Al Heywood), of Winnipeg, Man., Dianne McGregor (Sandy), of Miramichi, Paulette Arsenault (Philippe Gauthier), of Montreal, Que.; one son, Danny Arsenault, of Montreal; two sisters, Molly Houlston (Max) and Irene Manderson, all of Miramichi; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Eric, in 1983; four sisters, Nora Daigle, Helen Ronan, Leona Seleba, Ruby Manderson; three brothers, Frank, Jack and Peter Bowes; one son in law, Joseph Pyne.
Visitation was held at the residence of John and Margaret Kerr, Water Street, on Thursday evening only, from 6-9 pm. Vigil prayers were held at the home on Thursday evening, led by Father Claude Daigle.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi, on Friday, May 28, 2010, at 11 am, conducted by Father Claude Daigle. Music for the Mass was provided by Michael Davis, and the hymns were "Where Shall I Find You", "Be Not Afraid", "On Eagles Wings", "Mine Eyes have Seen The Glory". The scriptures were read by Geralyn Freeze and David Daigle. The Prayers of Intercession were led by Bill Morrissy. Family memories and elougy were offered by Paulette Arsenualt and Anne Morrissy.
Interment was in St. Marys Roman Catholic Cemetery, Miramichi. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, telephone 773-3492 or messages of condolence may be sent online to www.adamsfh.ca
