Sheila E. Kolody
1948-2010
Sheila Edith Kolody, wife of Donald F. Kolody, of King Street, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at the age of 62.
Born in Chatham, on April 5, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eunice (Adams) Belding. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Salvation Army Church, Miramichi.
She is survived by her husband Donald; one daughter, Sheila Gallant (Jody), of Miramichi; one son, Donald F. Kolody Jr., of Saskatoon, SK; two grandchildren, Isabella and Dylan Gallant; two sisters, Laura MacDonald (Leonard), of Black River Bridge and Diane MacDonald (Dale), of Point Aux Carr; four brothers, Lawrence Adams (Audrey), of Black River Bridge, Wilfred Belding, Frank Belding (Grace), all of Miramichi, Jarvis Belding, of Toronto, Ont.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Grant, James and Tony Belding.
By her request, there was no visitation at the funeral home. A public funeral service was held from St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge, on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at 2 pm, conducted by Capt. Wilson Sutton, assisted by Capt. Darlene Sutton. Music for the service was provided by William Sweezey. A duet was offered by Lawrence and Audrey Adams, "I'm Coming Home" and a solo was given by Capt. Darlene Sutton, "There Is A River". A special poem was read by grandson, Dylan Gallant and flowers were placed at the graveside, by grand daughter, Isabella Gallant.
The pallbearers were Bryan Adams, Arthur Adams, Oliver Guyder, Frank Belding Jr., Jody Gallant, Dylan Gallant. Interment was in the Black River Community Cemetery.
