Dearest Aunt Lorraine, Brian, Shannon, Uncle Dawson, Dad, Uncle Wayne, Aunt Dawn, Uncle Murray, Uncle Alden and all of our family near and far. It is with a heavy heart that we send our love to all of you today. I know we all have many memories of Uncle Carmen. From the time we were little when he would come home to visit, to his visits to Ontario to see any of us who live here. We had many tunes and laughs to say the least. I'm certain there are old strips of rubber on many streets here in Woodstock where Uncle Carmen left his mark. He always came to see us when we were home to visit and was always interested in all that Tony, myself and the kids were doing. In the last few years he may not have gotten out as much, but we always had our visit to catch up. He gave great hugs and loved us all. We will miss him dearly but cherish all of the memories that we made with him over the years. Wishing we could be there to hug each and every one of you.. Love from Kim, Tony, Riley, Taylor and Maddie xoxo

Lorraine and the Taylor Family:

So shocked and saddened to hear of Carmen's sudden death. Our sincere love and sympathy to all the family. I (Bill) was so fortunate to have had a great "rave" with Carmen on Saturday after-noon. We shared some great stories of growing up in Napan Bay----and had lots of laughs. What a great memory! May precious memories and faith sustain you all during this sad time. Much love, Bill and Donna

Our deepest Condolences to Lorraine and the whole family. The world may never see another Carman Taylor. They certainly broke the mold with this guy. In a family so huge, how could anyone stand out so clearly as he did. He was my cousin, and I think most of my young life I though the word Carman was an adjective not a noun. His legend is secure in the memories of all of us. I think my brother spent his life trying to make the perfect car, just to get a chance at being like Carman. I remember the first time I played guitar in front of him. He got close to watch me and I froze like a deer and the pick fell out of my fingers. Can anyone live up to a legend? As I got to know the real person, I could see why people would raise him up. He seemed always so insightful calm and caring. He was impossible to shock, and seemed as though he had seen a lot of different and odd things in his life. Most of all, he seemed like someone you would find hard not to love. And you could tell he loved you. I think he was a special person. I think he will live on as he has always been: "Our Family Hero". - Jamie and Leslee Watling
