Deborah C. (McIntyre) Walsh

1955 – 2024

Deborah Catherine (McIntyre) Walsh of Miramichi, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on March 13, 2024, at the age of 68.

Born in Chatham, NB, on April 16, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Vivian (Moran) McIntyre.  Deborah worked in the housekeeping department at the Miramichi Regional Hospital for many years.  She attended St. Michael’s Basilica.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Frank Flieger; daughter, Lisa Walsh of Ontario; three grandchildren: Emily, Kevin, and Brianna Walsh; two great-grandchildren: Isla, and Ava; daughter-in-law, April Walsh of Barryville, NB; three sisters: Rose-Marie Flieger, Vivian Duncan (John), and Catherine McIntyre all of Miramichi; two brothers; Ronald McIntyre (Noni), and Thomas McIntyre (Debbie), all of Miramichi; special niece, Patricia Lewicki of Miramichi; her special fur pet, Riley; as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Burton Walsh; son, Joseph (Joey) Walsh; and two brothers: Byron (Boydie), and Frederick.

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 12 PM – 1:30 PM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 PM, from St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, with The Reverend Father David Rioux as Celebrant.  Music for the service was provided by Organist, David Bonnell, and Vocalist, Mary Moran.  The entrance hymn was "Here I am Lord", followed by "The Lord is My Shepherd", "Amazing Grace", "Taste and See", and "Songs of the Angels", with the recessional hymn being "Into Your Hands".  A reception followed in the Parish Center. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi SPCA  or NB Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
