In Loving Memory of Doris M. Kingston
1958 – 2024
Doris Mary Kingston of Miramichi, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on March 25, 2024, at the age of 65.
Born in Chatham, NB, on September 25, 1958, she was the daughter of Roger Goguen and the late Ann Mary “May” (McDougall) Goguen. Doris worked in Home Care and truly loved helping people. She had a passion for playing Bingo and Cards. Spending time with family and friends was something that she truly cherished.
Doris is survived by her common-law spouse, Ian Johnston; father, Roger Goguen of Miramichi; one daughter, Mary Kingston (Jamie) of Miramichi; three step-children: Loraine Thibodeau (Kevin) of Miramichi, Tania Williston of Moncton, and Vernon Williston (Samantha) of NS; six grandchildren: Jayden, Rylee, Bentley, Brandon, Colby, and Clarence; five sisters: Diane Nowlan (James) of Miramichi, Donna Bourque (Reginald) of Collette, NB, Kathy Sterner (Brian) of Fort McMurray, AB, Theresa Wilde of Miramichi, and Peewee Thibodeau (Marcel) of Eel Ground, NB; one brother, Keith Goguen (Tina) of Lakeville, NB; sister-in-law, Peggy Walsh (Roy) of Miramichi; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Ann Mary “May” Goguen; husband, Jimmy Kingston; and brother-in-law, Dave Wilde.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 10-11 AM and funeral service followed at 11 AM from Adams Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Keith Carter officiating. Music for the service was recorded music and the songs were: "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion, "Precious Memories" by Alan Jackson and the recessional hymn was "How Great Thou Art" by Alan Jackson. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
