Evelyn Josephine Taylor
1946 – 2024
It is with great sadness, but with gratitude for her love and life, we announce the passing of Evelyn Josephine Taylor of Napan, New Brunswick, who passed away at her home surrounded by the love of her family on March 14, 2024, in her 78th year.
Born in Chatham, NB, on May 28, 1946, Evelyn Josephine Taylor (Dickson) was the daughter of the late Earl and Josephine Dickson. Evelyn was a beloved Wife, Mother, Nana, Cousin and Friend. Her family meant everything to her. She kept close and loving relationships with each of her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member and Elder of Carmel United Church in which she was a former Administrative Secretary for 40 years. She was also a United Church Licensed Lay Worship Leader, and would never hesitate to help with meaningful coverage for a Minister, or when family or friends requested her ministry leadership for a funeral. She believed in volunteering her help whenever she was able to within the community, and was a special Advocate and Friend of Hospice Miramichi. Her kind, caring and compassionate personality made her a true and valued Elder and she will be missed by the many who were touched by the ministry of her love.
Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Blake Taylor; cherished daughters, Kimberly Taylor-Sobczyk (Tony) of Woodstock, ON, Beverly Taylor Bell (Alvin) of South Esk, NB, and Elaine Taylor O’Donnell (Eamon) of Hamilton, ON; six grandchildren whom she adored: Riley, Taylor, Maddie, Georgia, Carter, and Josephine. Evelyn is also survived by and will be missed by her faithful fur companion, Zoey. Evelyn was an only-child, and was predeceased by her parents.
