In Loving Memory of Mary T. Savoy

1933 – 2024

Mary Theresa Savoy 1933-2024 Miramichi, New Brunswick.

Our cherished mother, Mary Theresa Savoy, passed away at The Moncton City Hospital, predeceased by her beloved husband Jeffrey of 47 years, surrounded by her eldest son, Jeffrey and his wife, Cindy on Sunday, April 21st, 2024, at the age of 90 years.

Mary (Mum), an individual of great strength and resilience, was born as the eldest of 13 children of Genevieve (Brennan) and Edward Daley.  This early role instilled in her a sense of responsibility from a young age.  A role she embraced wholeheartedly. 

Mary (Mum) is survived by her four children: Linda MacKinley (Darrell) of Chelmsford, Jeffrey Savoy Jr. (Cindy) of Moncton, Katherine Levine (Rennie) of Moncton, Ronald Savoy (Louise) of Moncton; six “precious” grandchildren: Kristal and Amanda (Linda and Darrell McKinley), Sonny and Cassandra (Jeffrey and Cindy Savoy), and Mackenzie and Molly (Ronald Savoy and Louise Govereau-Savoy), five endearing great-grandchildren: Kolby and Jaxon (Kristal and Jason Melanson), Abrielle and Maeva (Cassandra Savoy and Abraham Boisvert), Lucas (Amanda and Kyle Wilson); sister-in-law, Patricia Daley; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She leaves behind sisters: Geraldine, Marilyn, Dolores, Edna, Theresa, Carmel, and Patricia; and brothers: Edward, Reginald, Thomas, and Joseph.

There is forever a deep and wounded hole in our hearts that will only be healed when we join you, Mum.  Our love for you has no words.

As per Mary’s wishes there will be no visitation.  A Graveside Service was held at St. Michael’s Cemetery on Thursday, April 25th, 2024, at 2 PM with The Reverend Father David Rioux as Celebrant.  A few words of remembrance were given by Ronald Savoy.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
