In Loving Memory of Robert Walter Murphy

1935 - 2024

Robert (Bob) Walter Murphy passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 19, 2024, at the age of 88.

Born in Craigville, NB, on September 07, 1935, he was the son of the late James and Ruby (Trevors) Murphy.

Bob was a retired Trucker, having trucked delivering groceries, long hauling fish and delivering petroleum products for Gold Line Transport.  Bob received many commendations for over 23 years of safe driving during his trucking career.

Besides being predeceased by his loving parents, Bob was predeceased by his wife of over 62 years, Margaret Elizabeth (Williston) Murphy. Also predeceasing him were his siblings: Ramona (Fred) Matthews, Jessie (Mark) Howard, Alta (Richard) Greenough, Randall (Rita) Murphy, and Betty (Everette) Forrest.  He was also predeceased by several nieces and nephews.  Bob is survived by his extended family.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 29th at 10 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King Street., Miramichi, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Greer officiating. A reception will follow the service.  Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery later in the spring.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Operation Smile Canada (Cleft Palate), 375 University Ave. Suite 204 Toronto, ON, M5G 2J5, or to a charity of the donors choosing would be appreciated by the family.
