Eleanor M. Comeau
     1932 – 2018

The Comeau family is saddened to announce the passing of our sister, Eleanor Mary Comeau at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the age of 86.  

Born in Loggieville, on August 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Josephine (Richard) Comeau.  She was a homemaker and member or St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church.  Eleanor was a kind and gentle soul and family meant everything to her.  Her entire life was spent in Loggieville.  She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially family celebrations and birthdays.

Eleanor is survived by her brothers, Frank (Lada), Lawrence, Richard (Betty), and Clarence (Debbie); her sisters: Edith Duguay, Rena Davis (Gary), Rachel Seeley (Robert), Doris LaFaive (Victor) and Pansy McPherson; sisters-in-law Connie, Louise and Phyllis. She also leaves behind 44 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister Bertha, brothers Edmund, John and Rennie, brothers-in-law Romeo Comeau and Victor Duguay, sisters-in-law Alice and Lillian and by nephews Stewart and Dennis.

Visitation was held from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Monday from 2-4 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial was held from St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Loggieville on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11 am with Father Dass as Celebrant.  Music for the service was provided by Norma Sugden and St. Andrew's Church Choir and the hymns were "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel", "Rest In God Alone", "People Look East", "Blest Are They" and "Christ, Be Our Light".  The scripture readings was done by Richard and Clarence Comeau and Prayers of the Faithful was done by Diane Robichaud.  The eulogy was given by Richard Comeau.

Pallbearers were Eric Robichaud, Adam, Jack, Perry, Percy and Keith Comeau Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring.

In Eleanor’s memory, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Cemetery Fund, St. Andrew’s Church Renovation Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, telephone 773-3492 or messages of condolence may be sent online to www.adamsfh.ca
