Nancy R. Duplessis

   1937 – 2019

Nancy Rosella Duplessis, widow of the late Lawrence Duplessis of Miramichi passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the age of 81.

Born in Miramichi, on October 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Katherine (McDonald) Dean.  She was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin.  She was a member of the Pioneer Senior Citizens Club in Miramichi.

She is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Duplessis) Tillotson (Dave) of Melissa, Texas; two sons: Carl Murdock (Betty) and Ryan Murdock (Nikki) all of Miramichi; one grandson, Michael Murdock (Jodi) of Miramichi; two brothers: John Dean of Windsor, ON and Lymon Dean of Moncton; one sister Lillian Duplessis of Miramichi.  She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Duplessis in 1994, one son Bryon Murdock in 1984, one grandson John Murdock in 2006.

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  Funeral Service was held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 1 pm with Rev. Deacon Ted Quann officiating.  Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Dawn Bell and St. Mary’s Church Choir and the hymns were “Old Rugged Cross”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace”.  The eulogy was presented by daughter Cathy Tillotson and friend Theresa Savoy.  Scripture and the Prayers of the People were read by Laurie Baldwin.

Pallbearers were Michael Murdock, Kevin McGraw, Steven McGraw, Paul McKnight, Brian Dean and Michael Dean.  Interment was in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery.
