Reginald A. MacDonald
1935 – 2019
Reginald Arnold MacDonald, husband of Margaret (Williston) MacDonald of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on October 22, 2019 at the age of 83.
Born in Black River Bridge on November 13, 1935, he was the son of the late Base and Ida MacDonald. He worked on the garbage truck for over 30 years. He was a member of Caring Friends and AA for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Williston) MacDonald; two daughters: Rhonda Comeau (Marcel) of Miramichi and Thelma Smith (Joseph Breau) of Calgary, AB; eight grandchildren: Robert Jr., Shyanne (Finley), Erica, Taya (Trevor), Zakk, Charles, Sarah and Katie (Evan); six great grandchildren: Everly, Weston, Braydon, Isla, Jaxon and Zayden. He was predeceased by his parents, son Robert in 1990, and infant son and daughter.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service was held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 1 pm with Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Dawn Bell and the hymns were “In The Garden”, “The Old Rugged Cross” and the recessional song was recorded music “Jealous of the Angels”. The eulogy was presented by Gail White.
Pallbearers were Robert Breau, Marcel Comeau, Greg Bell, Gary Kinsella, Matthew Comeau and Gene Stewart. Interment was in the Black River Community Cemetery.
