Joan & family ... Just read Dieter's obituary & want to express our deep sorrow that such a kind, loving gentleman is gone from our midst. He was always so friendly & cheerful - a real pleasure to meet at the golf club, sitting in his cart cheerfully greeting everyone. He dearly loved the game but more than anything, he loved people & was loved in return. He'll be greatly missed by all.
Our deepest sympathy ~ .

Joan, sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Dieter was a wonderful, frustrating help mate for me in my early years. It was always a pleasure to talk history with him as he had a vast knowledge of our past. I will miss him even though I hadn't seen him in a while, it was always reassuring to know he was there. Good bye old friend.

Dear Joan: Our thoughts are with you at this time. We have so many vivid and wonderful memories of Dieter; hiking, canoeing, talking, playing games, joking and of course eating! "Moderation!" ...as he would always say. And, every labour day weekend, he will definitely come to mind and we will smile. He was surely one-of-a-kind, insightful and embraced life. We have some pictures on our digital frame of our trips with John, Inez, you and Dieter but one stands out of him clearly savouring a baked creation from Henrietta's near Algonquin... We treasure that photo as just one beautiful image of Dieter, to remember him by.

Love, Steve & Diane

Dear Joan,
I was very saddened to hear of Dieter's passing. He was such a kind and fun loving gentleman. I can still recall hearing his booming voice on the Booth's Rock trail and suddenly seeing both of you standing before me. I think of you both every year when I'm up at Algonquin.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. May your happy memories of Dieter bring you comfort in the days to come.
