Alexander “Sandy” Kingston

            1952 – 2020

Alexander “Sandy” James Kingston of Miramichi, passed away at his home on January 23, 2021, at the age of 68.

Born in Chatham, he was the son of the late Simon and Alma (MacKay) Kingston.  Sandy grew up working alongside his father helping to grow the family business until his retirement.  He enjoyed his many years working with so many loyal employees and customers.

Sandy was a humble man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Martin) Kingston; sons: Mark of Whitby, ON, Kevin (Claire) of Dublin, Ireland, and Michael (Erin) of Miramichi; seven grandchildren: Molly, Maya, Ava, Dara, Abbie, Alexis and Gavin; brothers: Leonard (Kathy) and Weldon (Patsy); brother-in-law, Bill Whalen, all of Miramichi; several nieces and nephews; as well as extended family:  the Martin's and Moar's.  Sandy was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Roberta Whalen; nephew, Randy Kingston; and sister-in-law, Anne Martin.

By family request there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Interment will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery later in the spring.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to NB Extra Mural, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
