Alvena “Beanie” Margaret MacDonald (nee Robie), wife of the late George MacDonald of Napan Bay, passed away on February 22, 2022, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital following a brief illness at the age of 83.

Born on January 28, 1939, she was the daughter of both the late Burton and Harriet Robie of Hardwicke, New Brunswick. She was a member of Carmel United Church, Napan.

She was a Homemaker, a wonderful Cook, and a loving Mom. She lived a quiet life and devoted all her time and energy to her family. She was a Foster Mom to several children.

Her career included being a Sitter at both the Hotel Dieu and Miramichi Regional Hospital, and she was a Homecare Worker for several clients. She loved her clients, knitting, crocheting, doing puzzles, and was a wonderful cook. Her biggest joy in life was feeding her family or anyone who dropped by. No one ever left with an empty tummy. She cherished and spoiled her animals and was totally devoted to them.
