1928 – 2025
Amelia Nash of Hardwicke, New Brunswick, passed away at Percy’s Place, Miramichi, New Brunswick, on January 10, 2025, at the age of 97.
Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, on January 5, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Jack Charlie and Antonia (Goguen) Martin. She was a Homemaker, and attended Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Church, Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick.
Amelia is survived by two daughters: Antonia Nash of Hardwicke, NB, and Rosalie Martin (Albert) of Miramichi, NB; two sons: John Nash (Margaret) of Fredericton, NB, and James Nash (Donna) of Riverview, NB; five grandchildren: Tina, Bradley, Chastity, Christopher, and Vikie; five great-grandchildren: Abigail, Amelia, Lily, Kevin, and Lucas; two sisters: Victorine Johnson, and Rosalie Martin of Baie-Sainte-Anne, NB; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Roy Nash, four sisters, and three brothers.
At the request of the family, there was no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Church, 5351, Route 117, Baie-Sainte-Anne, NB, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11 AM, with The Reverend Father Antonio Reyes as Celebrant. Music for the service was provided by the Sainte-Anne Catholic Church Choir. The hymns were: "Here I am Lord", "Amazing Grace", "Gentle Woman", "You Raise Me Up", and "I Believe". The Cross Bearer was Abigail Smith, and Lily Kingston assisted with the flowers. The Eulogy was by Chastity Martin. The scripture readings were read by Tina Kingston. The Active Pallbearers were: Bradley Nash, Christopher Nash, Allen Kingston, Lucas Smith, Marc Andre Mazerolle, and Stan Deon. Interment will be in Hardwicke Catholic Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
