Ann M. M. Goguen
1936 – 2021
Ann Mary Mona Goguen, wife of Roger Goguen of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on February 15, 2021 at the age of 84.
Born in Chatham, on July 23, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Viola (Power) McGrath. Ann worked as a Nurse's Aide at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home for many years. She was a member of St. Michael’s Basilica.
Ann is survived by her husband, Roger Goguen; three daughters: Viola Fleiger (Pat) of Miramichi, Linda Greco of B.C. and Christine Murray (Kenneth) of Moncton; five sons: Walter Cormier (Colleen) of Miramichi, Yvon Cormier of Miramichi, Roger Cormier of AB, Tommy Cormier (Cheryl) of Miramichi and Peter Cormier (Penny) of AB; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; five step-daughters: Theresa, Margaret (Pee Wee), Kathy, Donna, Doris and Diane; one step-son, Keith; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Meier (Dave) of AB; five brothers: Brian McGrath (Pearl) of Saint John, Wayne McGrath of B.C., Blair McGrath (Karen) of AB, Marven McGrath (Clarice) of Saint John and Lloyd McGrath (Joan) of Saint John; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael’s Basilica on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 11 am with Father John Keoughan as Celebrant. Music for the service was provided by David Bunnell, and the hymns were: "Here I Am Lord", "The Lord is my Shepherd", "Hail Mary - Gentle Woman", "On Eagle's Wings", "Songs of the Angels", and the recessional hymn was "How Great Thou Art". The scripture readings were proclaimed by Alex Murray, and Carmen Cormier. The Prayers of the Faithful were led by Christine Murray. The eulogy was presented by Christine Murray.
Honorary pallbearers were: Roger and Peter Cormier. Pallbearers were: Walter Cormier, Yvon Cormier, Tommy Cormier, Patrick Fleiger, Kenneth Murray, and Ayden Murray. Interment was in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
