Ann E. MacDonald
1931 – 2022
Ann Elizabeth MacDonald, wife of the late Marven MacDonald of Glenwood, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on September 20, 2022, at the age of 91.
Born in Chatham, NB, on June 12, 1931, she was the daughter of both the late Henry and Kathleen Brown. She was a Homemaker and attended St. Stephen’s United Church.
Ann is survived by her two daughters: Donna Taylor (Raymond) of Miramichi, and Roma MacDonald of Glenwood; two sons: Brian MacDonald (Marian) of Napan, and Calvin MacDonald of Glenwood; nine grandchildren: Michael, Sherry, Adam, Andrea, Shauna, Devin, Gary, Lacy, and BJ; eight great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Leah, Jackson, Jase, Jax, Jonathan, Reid, and Avery; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Marven MacDonald; sister, Peggy Hackett; and brothers: Clarence, Johnny, and Henry Brown.
Visitation occurred at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. The funeral service occurred at Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11 AM with The Reverend David Allan as Officiant. Music for the service was provided by Paula Foley. The hymns were: "Here We Are", "Gentle Woman", and "Here I am, Lord". Memory candles were lit by Donna Taylor. The eulogy was presented by Joan MacDonald. Scripture readings were read by Sherry Taylor. Prayers were led by The Reverend Ross Wiseman. The Active Pallbearers were: Allan Anderson, Donnie MacDonald, Philip MacDonald, Steven MacDonald, Germaine MacNaughton, and Michael Taylor. Interment occurred in the Black River Community Cemetery. A reception was held at Ann's home following the service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation, or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
