In Loving Memory of Ann M. Purdy

1945 – 2023

Ann Marie Purdy of Miramichi passed away at Percy’s Place on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the age of 78.

Born in Chatham, on August 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Blake and Mary (Neville) Harriman.  She was an employee of the Federal Government for many years.  She was a member of the Miramichi Golf Club and always enjoyed spending her winters in Sebring, Florida.

Ann is survived by her husband, Doug Purdy; her sons: Paul McCarthy of Ohio, USA, and Patrick McCarthy of Nashwaaksis, NB; step-children: Janice, Nancy, and Mark Purdy; three grandchildren: Aaron, Kayla and Kayden McCarthy, and also step-grandchildren; sisters: Joan Nobach and Susan Bale (Les); brothers: Neville Harriman (Karen), and Blake Harriman (Norma); as well as nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents. 

At the request of the family there will be no visitation or funeral service held at this time.  Interment will be held in St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Percy’s Place would be appreciated by the family.
