On behalf of my family and myself, I want to express our profound gratitude for the exceptional care my mother, Anna Austin (Murdock), received during the last six months of her life from Percy’s Place, Miramichi, N.B.

The compassion and professionalism shown by every single member of the Percy’s Place staff were truly angelic, not just to me, but most importantly, to my mom.  From ensuring her dignity each day to the thoughtful gestures like playing board games, watching the Golden Girls, sitting by moms side, praying with mom, telling fun stories, dancing and singing to lift moms mood and the wonderful meals prepared by Jeannie, the beautiful chef, and all volunteers at  Percy‘s Place, treated her like family.

Dr. Gerard Losier and Judy Losier,  Jill Hackett, Director of Care, all the amazing nurses,  all staff and management team,  volunteers, will forever hold a special place in our hearts for their unwavering kindness.  Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. And let’s not forget the furry members of their team that brought laughter and smiles to the halls of Percy’s place every day..

The past two weeks since my mother's passing has been a blur, and it's still difficult to fully grasp that she is gone. During this incredibly challenging time, knowing she was in such a beautiful and supportive environment provided immense comfort. Percy's Place is truly one of the most remarkable facilities I have ever encountered, offering not just care, but a genuine sense of home and community.

It's vital for people to understand that Percy's Place operates as a non-profit organization. Its ability to provide such extraordinary care relies entirely on the generosity and kindness of the Miramichi community through donations. We hope that our experience serves as a testament to the invaluable work they do and encourages continued support for such a vital resource.

Our family, THANKS YOU ALL!

Deepest gratitude,

Robyn, Terry, Shania, Jazmin, Matthew, Noah, Madison, Ocean.

Special thanks to Father Fraser (Retired), a prominent and long-serving Roman Catholic priest in Miramichi notably served as the pastor of St. Michael's Basilica in Chatham, N.B. who officiated services. Father Fraser shared comforting memories of mom’s younger years as a Murdock in Loggieville, walking to school and where her old homestead is currently  located. Saint Michael the Archangel Parish – Faithfully serving since 1839 stmichaelsbasilica.ca

Thanks also to Adams Funeral Home for their guidance and support during this difficult time.

Heavenly Father, God of all consolation, Our hearts are full of gratitude for Dr. Gerard Losier, Judy Losier, the caregivers and staff at the Miramichi Horizon Hospital, Percy’s Place and Extramural, caregivers and nurses. We thank You for sending these instruments of Your grace to watch over our my mother in her final days. Lord, reward them for the compassion, dignity, and tender mercy they showed to her.  Bless their hands, which brought comfort, and their hearts, which brought peace during a time of great sorrow.  We ask that You grant my mother eternal rest in Your heavenly kingdom, and let perpetual light shine upon her.  May Your blessings rest upon the entire hospice community, shielding them from exhaustion and filling them with Your divine peace.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

~Lord, hold my mother close in Your divine love and grant her soul everlasting rest.~
