In Loving Memory of Anna Austin

1949 – 2026

Anna Theresa (Murdock) Austin of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at Percy’s Place on May 25, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on September 5, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Wilber and Susan (Flaherty) Murdock.  Anna worked as a caregiver at the Oromocto Hospital for many years.  Following her time working at the hospital, Anna had various other careers throughout her life.  She was a member of St. Michael’s Basilica.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Robyn Austin (Terry Cook); grandchildren: Shania, Jazmin, and Matthew; great-grandchildren: Noah, Madison, and Ocean; sisters, and Edith McGrath and Carolyn Murdock.  She was predeceased by her parents; sisters: Eleanor, Isabel, Marie, and Pauline; and brothers, Francis and John.

At the request of the family, there was no visitation.  A funeral service was held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, 140 King Street, Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Father John Fraser officiating.  Music for the service was recorded music and the hymns were "Amazing Grace" and "Precious Memories" by Alan Jackson.  The eulogy was presented by Robyn Austin.  Interment was held in St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick.
