In Loving Memory of Anna Harriet Dickson
August 6, 1937 – June 28, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anna Harriet (Thompson) Dickson, who peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones on June 28, 2026, at Vondy House in Miramichi, New Brunswick, at the age of 88.
Born in Centre Napan, New Brunswick, on August 6, 1937, Anna was the cherished daughter of the late George and Alice (Dickson) Thompson.
In November 1956, Anna married the love of her life, Roland Dickson. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and home.
Anna was devoted to her faith and her family. She took great pride in the little home on Napan Side Road, where she and her beloved husband, Roland, raised their five children. She had a deep love for gardening, a keen eye for home décor, and found joy in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family.
Anna leaves behind her beloved husband of nearly 70 years, Roland Dickson; her daughters, Sherry (Calvin Corkum) of Riverview, New Brunswick; Monica (Dave Roach); and Chrissy Dickson, both of Miramichi, New Brunswick.
She was a proud grandmother to Cole, Daniel, Eric, Joshua, Justin, and her only granddaughter, Jennifer. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Austin, Grayden, Anna, and Mya.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Margaret Ashford of Miramichi, New Brunswick, and Macrena Jardine (Ralph) of Napan, New Brunswick; her brother, Wayne Thompson (Joyce) of Napan, New Brunswick; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved son Todd, her beloved daughter Dawn, her precious grandson Justin, and her brothers Sonny, Neil, Bobby, Russell and Paul.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel, and was lead by Speakers, Charles O'Regan, and Linda Anderson. Music for the service was provided by Lorraine Dickson and the congregational hymns were "Tell Me The Story of Jesus", "Precious Thought", and "No Reputation". The Active Pallbearers were Cole MacDonald, Daniel MacDonald, Eric Corkum, Calvin Corkum, Weldon Dickson, and Danny Taylor. Interment followed at Pine Grove Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.adamsfh.ca.
