In Loving Memory of Anne M. Comeau

1943  –  2024

Anne Marie Comeau of Miramichi, NB, passed away at Percy’s Place, Miramichi, NB, on October 18, 2023, at the age of 81.

Born in Chatham, NB, on February 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Eugenie (LeBreton) Comeau.  Anne was an LPN and worked at Hotel Dieu Hospital (Chatham), and Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home.  She was a member of St. Michael’s Basilica, C.W.L. and was very involved with The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.

Anne is survived by her son, Stephen Comeau of Miramichi; daughter, Linda Comeau (Allister Simpson) of Alberta; three grandchildren: Ryan (Melanie), Alysia (Christian), and Alex; two sisters: Ruby Burke of Dartmouth, NS, and Carmel Gallimore of Miramichi; and brother, Terry Comeau (Elizabeth) of Oak Point, NB.  She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Eric Comeau; son, Darrell Comeau; sister, Violet Estey; and three brothers: James, Eldon, and Sterling Comeau.

A Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 1-4 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial was Celebrated at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 11 AM, with The Reverend Father John Fraser as Celebrant.  Music for the service was provided by Mr. David Bunnell and St. Michael's Choir and the hymns were "Here I Am Lord", "The Lord Is My Shepherd", "Amazing Grace", "Taste and See", "Ave Maria", "Songs of the Angels" and the recessional hymn was "Go Now In Peace".  Scripture readings was read by grandchildren: Ryan Comeau and Alysia Comeau and the Prayers of the Faithful was proclaimed by niece, Cynthia Comeau.  The eulogy was presented by friend, Judy Losier.  Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
