In Loving Memory of Aurella Martin
1947 – 2026
Aurella Martin of Dieppe, New Brunswick, and formerly of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, passed away at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick on April 29, 2026, at the age of 78 years.
Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on June 29, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Catherine (Jenkins) Durelle. Aurella was a janitor at the Baie-Sainte-Anne School for 17 years. She was a member of Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Church.
Aurella is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Durelle of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick; son, Kevin Martin (Linda) of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick; three grandchildren: Renee Godin, Christian Durelle, and Sarah Durelle; two great-grandchildren, Cale and Coen; siblings: Joan Durelle, Brenda Savoie, Dorothy Martin, Donny Durelle, Robert Durelle, Barbara Turbide, Gerard Durelle, and Ricky Durelle; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ferdinand Martin; brothers, Greg and Roberte; and son-in-law, Ronald “PO” Durelle.
As per Aurella’s request, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Church, 5351 Route 117, Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Father Jean Bélisle as celebrant. Interment will be in Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
