Bartlett “Bart” Roy Gilliss, passed away at his family home in Napan, NB, on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, at the age of 58.

Born in Chatham, NB, on June 20th, 1966, Bartlett “Bart” Roy Gilliss was the son of the late Bartlett and Lucetta (MacPherson) Gilliss.

Bart was a NB Power employee for close to 20 years. He was a people’s person and loved talking to everyone. He could go into a room not knowing anyone, and come out knowing everyone.  Bart made it a point to get to know you, as well as his neighbours, making you feel special in the process. He loved to make people laugh and to tease good-naturedly.  He was a very kind soul, caring and empathetic person who had a heart to help anyone in need.  Bart loved and valued his family, prioritizing them always.  He was a very dedicated and good son, as well as caring brother who enjoyed spending time with his siblings, especially taking in Special Olympic events that his sister, Judy was involved in. His nieces and nephews were very special to him.

Bart is survived by his sister, Chris McLenaghan (Robert) of Napan, NB; brother; Allison (Christina) Gilliss of Napan, NB; nieces:  Tina Gillis, and Bobbi McLenaghan; nephew, Allison MacIntosh; as well as sisters-in-law:  Nancy Gilliss, and Mary MacIntosh-Warren.

Besides his parents, Bart is predeceased by his sister, Judy Gilliss; brother, Sandy Gilliss; and nephew, Christopher Gilliss.
