In Loving Memory of Boyd J. Williston
1933 – 2023
Boyd James Williston, husband of the late Jean (Lewis) Williston of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on December 7, 2023, at the age of 89.
Born in Bay du Vin, NB, on December 30, 1933, he was the son of the late Morrison and Clara (MacDonald) Williston. He was a Red Seal Mechanic and Millwright by trade.
He is survived by four daughters: Laura Lee Kenny (Ed) of Minto, NB, Theresa Walls (Lorne) of Alberta, Betty Ann Williston (Bardo) of Alberta, and Barbie Williston (Ron) of Riverview; six sons: Willis Williston (Judy) of Miramichi, Harrison Williston (Judith) of Miramichi, Alfred Williston (Nadine) of Manitoba, Hubert Williston (Joanne) of Miramichi, Bobby Williston (Bertha) of Miramichi, and Kenny Williston (Jen) of Ontario; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Trina Williston of Miramichi; and one brother, Frank Williston (Ruth) of Miramichi. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Jean; son, Kevin; daughter, Ellen; brother, Robert; and grandchildren: Jennifer, Kelly, John and Chad.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 2-5 PM and prayer will follow at 5 PM. Interment will be in the Lower Derby Baptist Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Salvation Army or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
