Brenda C. Maresh
1956 – 2019
Brenda Christina Maresh, spouse of Gary Williston of Bay du Vin, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday morning, December 31, 2019, at the age of 63.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A, on June 6, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna (MacDougall) Horton. She was a Special Caregiver and a School Bus Driver.
She is survived by her spouse, Gary Williston; three daughters: Melanie (Peter) McCrae, Christina (Jamie) Cook and Charlene (Wendell) Doak; step-children: Chrissy Williston (Paul Cassidy) and Terry Williston; six grandchildren: Carter Maresh, Alyson Doak, Bailey Harris, Taylor-Rae Cook, Julie-Anna Cook and David Cassidy; one brother, Daryl Horton; and niece Jenny Vienneau. She was predeceased by her parents.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Friday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. Funeral service was held at St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 1 PM with The Reverend David Allan officiating. Music for the service was provided by David Mann and the church choir. The hymn was “In The Garden”. A special song “Second Time Around” was sung by Gary Williston. The lighting of the Christ Candle and Memorial Candles were by Taylor-Rae Cook and Alyson Doak. The scripture readers were Wendell Gregan and Kaye McClellan. The eulogy was presented by Charlene Doak. The Honorary Pallbearers were: Kathy Durelle, Beth Guimond, Geraldine Guimond, Eliza Henderson, John Henderson, Darlene Irvine, Lee Walsh, and Danny Williston. Interment was held in the Black River Community Cemetery.
