Mary Nina “Brenda” Peagam of Napan, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on March 10, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on January 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Harris and Elvina (Hebert) Jardine. She was a Dietitian for a number of years, and later worked at Hacheys corner restaurant and Mic Mac restaurant for many years! Prior to retirement she enjoyed her time as a cook at the Ambassador Tavern. She attended St. Michael’s Basilica.
Brenda is survived by her common-law spouse, Louis O’Hearn; three daughters: Tammy Bremner (Stephen) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Kim Chambers (Lester) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Pamela Peagam (Jamie) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; five grandchildren: Jamie, Leah, Christopher, Courtney, and Alexa; four great-grandchildren: Christian, Cole, Ava, and Hayes; one sister, Diane Corcoran (Ronnie) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; three brothers: Richard Jardine of Miramichi, NewBrunswick, Edward Jardine (Margaret) of Red Deer, Alberta, and Marven Jardine of Winnipeg, Manitoba; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Sharon Brundin, brother, Wayne Jardine, and nephew, Steven Brundin.
At Brenda’s request, there was no visitation. Funeral service was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Father Antonio Reyes officiating. Music for the service was recorded music, and the songs were "Jealous Of The Angels" by Donna Taddart, "Phone In Heaven" by Mike Manuel, and "It's Not Easy To Say Goodbye" by Kenny Rogers. The eulogy was presented by Carrie Black.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
