In Loving Memory of Buddie Blakely
1936 – 2026
Buddie Ronald Blakely of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully at his residence with his loving wife by his side on April 4, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born in Napan, New Brunswick on May 2, 1936, he was the son of the late Charles and Ellen (Creighton) Blakely. Buddie was a former employee of Pro Built Homes and attended St. Andrew’s United Church.
Buddie is survived by his loving wife, Frances (Ryan) Blakely; two sons, Andrew (Pam) of Alberta and Douglas (Lisa) of Manitoba; four grandchildren: Breeana, Katelyn, Patrick, and Samuel; foster son, Joseph Mazerolle (Wanda) of Newfoundland; chosen sister, Shirley Carroll of Miramichi, New Brunswick; special grandnephew, Nathan Robichaud; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
At Buddie’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at the Loggieville Community Centre, 19 Highfield Street, Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick, at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrew’s United Church or Miramichi Foodbank would be appreciated by the family.
