In Loving Memory of Catherine "Kay" Zimmer
1928 – 2025
Catherine “Kay” Zimmer, was born in Napan, New Brunswick, on June 24, 1928, and passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025.
Kay was the second cousin of Susan (Norman) Dickson of Chatham, New Brunswick. She was a resident of El Cerrito, California since 1952, Kay built a life filled with faith, friendship and love.
She was a devoted member of The Community Alliance Church in San Pablo, California, where her kindness and dedication touched many lives. Kay was a true people person – always out and about in the neighborhood, greeting everyone with her bright smile and easy conversation. Her endless energy, caring nature, and sharp attention to all the details of life made her unforgettable to those who knew her. Kay was also a dedicated volunteer at Kaiser Pinole and Richmond, where she greeted everyone with a warm hello and a bright smile.
Kay was predeceased by her beloved husband, George, and her loving daughter, Linda. Kay will be lovingly remembered by her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends and community.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Contra Costa Food Bank.
A service to celebrate Kay’s life will be held at The Community Alliance Church in San Pablo, California on November 15, 2025, at 11:00 am.
