It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher John Martin, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at his late residence, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 44.

Born on Christmas Eve in 1979, in Chatham, N.B., Chris was the son of the late Donnalynn Martin and his special parental figures, Triena Leblanc and Paul Vautour.

In 2013, Chris met the love of his life Stacey McLaughlin, with whom he shared a wonderful and loving life along with their “sons” Oreo and Walker.

Besides his family, Chris also leaves behind Stacey’s cherished family; her father, Jimmy McLaughlin; as well as her sisters: Stephanie and Kayla McLaughlin; and his special little buddies:  Noah and Alex Martin.

Chris was predeceased by his mother, Donnalynn Martin; brother, Michael Vautour; grandmother, Shirley Martin; and parental figure, Michael Leblanc.

Chris lived a fulfilled life by spending time with Stacey, friends and family. He was a lover of music and enjoyed playing his guitar for friends and family during gatherings, Chris also enjoyed playing video games, especially with his little buddies Noah and Alex. He always had a story or a joke to tell to make everyone in the room laugh.

The family would like to give their sincere thanks to the staff of the Miramichi Dialysis Clinic, the Nurses of the NB Extra-Mural Program, the Eastern Prosthetics Clinic, Miramichi Accessible Transit, the Doctors, as well as Chris’s other family, the staff of 4F at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital in Moncton, N.B, for all the amazing care they provided Chris over the years.
