In Loving Memory of Clifford E. Jardine

1937 – 2023

Clifford Emmerson Jardine, husband of Connie Jardine of Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on November 10, 2023, at the age of 86.

Born in Chatham, NB, on March 2, 1937, Clifford was the son of the late William and Maime (Trevors) Jardine.  He was a farmer and proudly lived on the family homestead his entire life.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church and sincerely enjoyed the Men’s Breakfasts. His greatest love was his family and he enjoyed spending time with them. He was a kind and considerate gentleman and always had a positive outlook on life.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Connie (Westhaver) Jardine; one daughter, Teresa King (Fred) of Napan; four sons: Edgar Jardine (Joanne) of Napan, Robert Jardine (Cori) of Miramichi, Arthur Jardine (Kathleen) of White Head, Guysborough County, NS, and Alfred Jardine (Jennifer) of Portland, Texas; twelve grandchildren: Erica, Kyle, Christina, Austin, Aimee, William, Kayla, Bryan, Matthew, Justin, Carter and Ainsley; two great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Whylie; two sisters: Jessie MacKenzie (Saul) of Coaldale, AB, and Debbie Stymiest (Cecil) of Miramichi; and one brother, John Jardine (Brenda) of Napan; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, and brother, Lindsay.

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 6-8 PM.  A Funeral Service was held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 207 Wellington St., Miramichi, on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11 AM, with The Venerable Perry Cooper as Rector, and The Reverend Canon Sandy MacPherson, and The Reverend Deacon Ted Quann as Assistants.  Music for the service was provided by Karen Kaiser and the St. Mary's Anglican Church Choir.  The hymns were:  "Abide with Me", "As the Deer Pants for the Water", "Because He Lives", with the recessional hymn being "How Great Thou Art".  A Tribute was by Arthur Jardine.  A scripture reading was read by Teresa King. A reception for all was held in the Church Hall following the service.  Interment will be in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to thank the ICU staff at both Miramichi and Saint John Regional Hospitals.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Napan Agricultural Show, St. Mary’s Anglican Church, St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, or an act of kindness would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, NB; telephone (506) 773-3492.  Additionally, messages of condolence may be shared online at www.adamsfh.ca
