1944 – 2024
Connie Jean Jardine, wife of the late Clifford Jardine of Napan, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on February 24, 2024, at the age of 79.
Born in Chatham, NB, on May 16, 1944, Connie was the daughter of the late Edgar and Connie (Kennedy) Westhaver. Connie was a Homemaker and was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church. She spent many years volunteering with St. Mary’s ACW and St. John Ambulance.
Connie is survived by one daughter, Teresa King (Fred) of Napan; four sons: Edgar Jardine (Joanne) of Napan, Robert Jardine (Cori) of Miramichi, Arthur Jardine (Kathleen) of White Head, Guysborough County, NS, and Alfred Jardine (Jennifer) of Portland, Texas; twelve grandchildren: Erica, Kyle, Christina, Austin, Aimee, William, Kayla, Bryan, Matthew, Justin, Carter, and Ainsley; two great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Whylie; two brothers: Gary Westhaver (Sharon) of St. Margaret’s, and Robert Westhaver of Miramichi; two sisters-in-law: Jessie MacKenzie (Saul) of Coaldale, AB, and Debbie Stymiest (Cecil) of Miramichi; and one brother-in-law, John Jardine (Brenda) of Napan; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Clifford, she was also predeceased by her brother, John; and sister, Elizabeth.
Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 11 AM – 1 PM followed by a funeral service at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 207 Wellington St., Miramichi, at 2 PM, with The Venerable Perry Cooper as Rector, assisted by The Reverend Canon Sandy MacPherson and Mr. Laurie Baldwin. The music for the service was provided by Mrs. Janet Stothart and St. Mary's Anglican Church Choir and the hymns were "Amazing Grace", "In The Garden", "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and the recessional hymn was "Take My Life And Let It Be". The scripture readings were read by Joanne Jardine, The Reverend Canon Sandy MacPherson and Laurie Baldwin and a tribute to Connie was presented by Robert Jardine.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Losier and staff at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary’s Anglican Church ACW, or Canadian Mental Health would be appreciated by the family.
