In Loving Memory of Daniel Bjurstrom

1943 – 2024

Daniel Oscar Bjurstrom of Miramichi, NB, passed away at his residence on September 30, 2024, at the age of 81.

Born in Newcastle, NB, on May 15, 1943, Daniel Oscar Bjurstrom was the son of the late Oscar and Francis (Tobin) Bjurstrom.  He worked at Diamond Drilling for a number of years, followed by working as a Labourer at various jobs.  He was Catholic by faith.

Daniel is survived by four daughters: Elaine (Anthony), Susie, Tammy, and Wendy; four sons: Joseph, William, Roger, and Kevin (Lisa); and seven grandchildren.  As well, Daniel is survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  Daniel was predeceased by his parents; wife, Elizabeth (Mercure) Bjurstrom; and also his sisters and brothers.

As per Daniel’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A Graveside Prayer will be held at St. Samuel’s Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 11 AM with The Reverend Father Cornelius officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke would be appreciated by the family.
