DAVID J. FEENEY

   1949 - 2023

David Joseph Feeney, passed away at 74 years of age, on April 2, 2023 after a long battle with complications from a stroke.  He passed away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Hospital.

Dave was predeceased by his parents, Marvin Feeney and Juanita (Anita) Feeney (Comeau) and all his Aunts and Uncles.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lorna (Maroun) Feeney and by his daughters Mistianne and Robin Feeney, Brother-in-Law, Gregg Maroun and many cousins including his closest cousin, Gerry Comeau (Jocelyne).  Dave was very fond of golf, was a hard-working provider for his family and was very proud of his children.

Dave was born in Bathurst on January 9, 1949.  He was raised in Montreal where he started his career with the Royal Bank on October 20, 1969.  He worked in many branches across Canada, the most memorable was working and living in Iqaluit, Nunavut.  He retired in July 2004 and moved to Bathurst and finally to Miramichi (Chatham) in October 2016.

In keeping with Dave’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.  Cremation has already taken place and internment will be beside his parents and family in the St. John Evangelist Cemetery, Belledune.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dave may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Hospital or to the charity of one’s choice.

Our sincere thanks go to the Palliative Care team, Dr. Losier and all the doctors and nurses for their kindness and compassion in the way they cared for Dave and his visitors.
