David L. Lobban
1940 – 2023
David Leslie Lobban, husband of the late Carmel (Brennan) Lobban of Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on January 17, 2023, at the age of 82.
Born in Chatham, on March 5, 1940, he was the son of the late John and Beatrice Jane (Jardine) Lobban. He worked in retail for Atlantic Wholesales for many years. He attended St. Mary’s Anglican Church.
David is survived by his daughter, Colleen Lobban of Napan; grandchild, Logan Knowles of Napan; brother, Frederick Parker of Sudbury, ON. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Carmel (Brennan) Lobban; son, Buddy David Lobban; sisters: Elizabeth Sheppard and Jean MacDonald; and brothers: Norman, Richard, and Kenneth Lobban.
Visitations for David L. Lobban and his son, Buddy Lobban occured at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 12-2 PM and funeral service followed at 2 PM from Adams Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Perry Cooper and The Reverend Deacon Ted Quann officiating. Music for the service was recorded music and the songs were "Just As I Am", "Precious Memories" and "I Want to Stroll Over Heaven With You" sung by Allan Jackson. Remembrances of David and Buddy were given by Logan Knowles, Rick Knowles and Nathan MacDonald. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
