David Stuart Marsh Obituary

In Loving Memory of David Stuart Marsh

1956 – 2024

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of David Stuart Marsh of Miramichi, NB, husband of Mabel (Savoy) Marsh, who passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on October 13, 2024, at the age of 67.

Born in Chatham, NB, on November 4, 1956, David Stuart Marsh was the son of the late David Marsh and the late Lillian (Hay) Mallen.

David worked as a Concierge at Yorkdale Towers, Toronto, ON, for close to thirty years.  He was a gentle soul, non-judgmental, and accepted life as it came.  He was very giving and kind to all.  His biggest passion was sports, specifically, hockey and baseball.  He was a huge Toronto Maple Leafs, and Toronto Blue Jays fan.  David took his relationships with family and friends very deeply.  He impacted everyone with his positivity, and most of all, he taught us to love.

David is survived by his wife, Mabel, whom they shared fourteen loving years together; sons:  Dwayne Ennis (Elisha) of Calgary, AB, and Jason Dickson (Dawn) of St. Margaret’s, NB; as well as his wife’s children:  Becky Stewart (Ethan McKeil) of Fredericton, NB, and Steven Stewart (Celine) of Lansdowne, ON; sister, Sheila Landry of Brampton, ON; grandchildren: Dylan, Addison & Charlize, Noah, Riley & Piper, and Brycen & Logan; Godson, Dylan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

David was predeceased by his parents; nephew, Darren Landry; brothers-in-law, David Savoy, and Stephen Savoy; and sister-in-law, Margie Comeau.

As per David’s wishes, there was no visitation.  A public Graveside Service occurred at St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery, Loggieville, Miramichi, NB, on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 2 PM, with The Reverend Father David Rioux as Celebrant. A reception celebrating David’s life followed the Graveside Service, occurred at the Chatham Legion Branch #3, 18 McCurdy St., Miramichi, NB.

The family would like to thank all the Paramedics, and Code Team at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.  They went to great lengths to do everything they could for a great man.

As David had recently overcome cancer, as expressions of sympathy, donations to Mgr. Henri-Cormier Lodge, Moncton, NB (provides accommodations for patients receiving cancer treatments), or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, NB; telephone (506) 773-3492.  Additionally, messages of condolence may be shared online at www.adamsfh.ca
