1937 – 2024
Dellas Williston, husband of the late Mildred (Murdock) Williston of Miramichi, NB, passed away at Shannex-Losier Hall, on May 7, 2024, at the age of 87.
Born in Bayside, NB, on April 22, 1937, he was the son of the late Harvey and Annie (Taylor) Williston. Dellas was a professional painter by trade.
He is survived by three daughters: Wendy Malley (Peter) of Miramichi, Shelly McIntyre (Todd) of Miramichi, and step-daughter, Debbie Jardine (Randy) of Napan; two sons: Mark Williston (Darla) of Red Bank, and Perry Williston of Miramichi; ten grandchildren: Scott, Mitchel, Daniel, Brady, Sam, Brandon, Connor, Jessica, Ashlynn, and Sherry; four great-grandchildren: Brody, Jaynie, Chloe, Liam, and Jessie; one sister, Shirley Kenny of Fredericton; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Mildred Williston; great-grandchild, Lex; sisters: Thelma, Hilda, Rita, and Iona; as well as brothers: Ivan, Earl, Ira, Max, Harvey Jr. (Junior), Lou, and Wayne.
By Dellas’s request there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held at the Black River Community Cemetery on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 11 AM with The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
