In Loving Memory of Denis R. Mador

1947 – 2024

Joseph Denis Roland Mador, husband of Joan Mador of Miramichi, passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 76.

Born in Kapus Kasing, Ontario on June 12, 1947, he was the son of the late Roland and Lidia (Bealieau) Mador.

Denis was a Millwright for part of his working career and then ended as a Federal Safety Inspector.  He was a member of St. Michael’s Basilica and Knights of Columbus 4th Degree.  He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #3 and loved being involved the Air Cadets in his younger years.

Denis is survived by his wife, Joan (Richard) Mador; daughter, Karen Mador; adopted son, Kevin Thibodeau (Loraine); six grandchildren: Krista, Denis (Nikki), Katonya, Kelsey, Talan and Kade; seven great-grandchildren: Ryan, Logan, Thomas, Destiny, Zack, Dakota and Grace; son-in-law, Danny Williston (Kim); three brothers: Marcel (Lise), Claude (Marnia) and Ian; sisters-in-law: Margaret (Nick), Theresa (Glen), Linda and Angel; brothers-in-law: Art (Dawn), Donnie (Colleen) and Norm; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents; grandparents; and great-grandparents; son, Steven; Baby Joseph, Baby Denis, Baby Roland; sister, Corine; brothers-in-law: Joey and Buddy; and great-granddaughter, Abby.

Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 11 AM – 1 PM, and the service will follow from Adams Funeral Home Chapel at 1 PM, with The Reverend Father Dan Bastarache as Celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery later in the spring.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Percy’s Place, Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, or Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
