She is survived by her brother, John (Jack) (Myrtle) Trowbridge; and her children: Joseph, Carolyn (Richard) Jardine, and Joan (Ray) Hatchard; her grandchildren: Lisa Sacobie, Chris (Heidi Dunn) Jardine, Marc (Kari) and Daniel (Dianne) McKinnon, Jennifer (Peter) Timmerman, and Shannon (Edwin) Severance; her great-grandchildren: Kaitlin, Madison, Simu, Raya, Brenna, Kacie, Lucas, Logan, Kennedy, Carter, Cade; and her great-great-grandchildren: Xavier and Rodney (RJ).
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; and son, Gerald “Gerry”; siblings: Estelle, Willis, Vincent, Stuart, Marven, Margaret and Jean; and daughters-in-law: Marielle (Joe McKinnon), and Shirley (late Gerry) McKinnon.
Doris was aware of the need to be active, and she walked many kilometers, and continued when she moved to Howe Residence on Harper Road. She would get outside as often as she could and walk with the aid of a walker. She was a regular with a swimming group at the Golden Hawk facility also.
Doris was blessed to have many caring neighbours in the Vanstone Avenue area. Doris was content at Howe Residence, it was where she wanted to be, and the environment likely added a few years to her long life. The family is grateful to Lois Foran and the staff at Howe Residence on Harper Road whose kindness and dedication is much appreciated.
Our family is grateful for the kindness shown to Doris by Dr. Kris and the Extra-Mural team over the years.
