Doris M. Manuel Obituary
In Loving Memory of Doris Manuel
January 27, 1953 – September 15, 2025
Doris Marie Manuel passed away suddenly at her home in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick on September 15, 2025, at the age of 72.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, on January 27, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Barthelemy and Ramona (LeBouthillier) Savoie. Doris was the second eldest of eight siblings: Geneva (Andre), Nola (Keith), Diane (Cleo), Egbert (Rolande), Laurie (Linda), Denis (Diane), Roger (Karen), and Gerard (Natalie).
Doris met her beloved husband Yvon in Toronto, Ontario where they began their life together with whom she shared many wonderful years.
Doris and Yvon shared a beautiful life together until his passing in 2004. During their time together they were blessed with a daughter, Lisa Manuel-Breau (Dale) and son, Lucas Manuel (Lisa). They raised their children in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick and eventually became grandparents to Caleb Breau (Belle) and Jade Matchett (Steven). After Yvon’s passing, Doris was blessed with three more grandchildren: Wes Breau, LJ Manuel and Jayla Manuel. Doris loved nothing more than her family and in 2025 became a great-grandmother to grandsons: Beau Matchett and Kyson Breau.
Doris was an amazing lady, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to many. She was good to people in her life. She was so considerate and caring of all around her. Her love for life and above all the love she had for her children and grandchildren was extraordinary. The world was a better place because of her in it.
Doris was and entrepreneur and a business owner. She enjoyed spending time with her dear friends, attending dances, working/socializing at her former store “Manuel’s Variety” and recently called “Down River Convenience” where she continued to work.
Doris was a spiritual, uplifting, positive soul who lived a life of faith. She will be greatly missed by her many friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and especially her partner Jules Savoie and his family.
