In Loving Memory of Eleanor Fraser
1936 – 2023
Eleanor Audrey Hazel (Graham) Fraser, wife of Clarke Fraser of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home on October 10, 2023, at the age of 87.
Born in Sullivan Mines, QC, on May 28, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Lyndon and Hazel (Black) Graham. Eleanor was a business partner for many years with her husband, Clarke. She was a member of St. Andrew’s United Church.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Clarke Fraser; one son, Paul Fraser (Gail Mitchell) of Saint John; one grandson, Myles Fraser of Fredericton; one sister, Elizabeth Birmingham (Harry) of Ottawa, ON; and one brother, Terry Graham (Kathryn) of Carleton Place, ON. She was predeceased by her parents; and two brothers: George and Robert.
Visitation was held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 188 Wellington St., Miramichi, on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 2-2:45 PM. A funeral service immediately followed at 3 PM with The Reverend Geza Szemok and The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight as Officiants. Music for the service was provided by Organist and Choir Director, Lois McKinnon, and the St. Andrew's United Church Choir. The hymns were: "In the Garden", "An Angel to Watch Over Me", "In the Bulb There Is A Flower", and recorded song by Bette Midler "Wind Beneath My Wings" as the recessional. The scripture readings were by Susan Butler, and The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight. Remembrances were by son, Paul Fraser. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shawville, Quebec, at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
