In Loving Memory of Emma Savoie
1945 – 2026
Emma Savoie of Miramichi, New Brunswick, and formerly of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 28, 2026, at the age of 81 years.
Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, on April 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Georges and Florida (Sippley) Daigle.
Emma loved to spend time with her family. She was also an avid quilter, loved gardening, eating “Poutines Rapées”, and spoiling her pooch, Sammy.
Emma is survived by her daughter, Linda Savoie; sons, Claude Savoie and Rheal Savoie; two grandsons, Austin Savoie and Devan Savoie; daughter-in-law, Tanya Savoie (O’Keefe); sister, Noella Martin; and brother, Cyril Daigle; as well as her cousin, Orina Bennett, whom she considered a second sister. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Nazaire Savoie; and brother, Raymond Daigle.
At Emma’s request, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Church, 5351 Route 117, Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., with the Reverend Father Jean Bélisle as celebrant. Interment will be in Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Arthritis Society Canada would be appreciated by the family.
