Eric Norman Glendenning
1965-2023
Eric Norman Glendenning, husband of Jean (Comeau) Glendenning, of Little Branch Road, Black River Bridge, New Brunswick, suddenly passed away at his home on March 15, 2023, at the age of 57.
Born in Newcastle, NB, on August 26, 1965, Eric was the son of both the late Norman and Jean (Watling) Glendenning. Eric worked on the family farm “Branchview Farms Ltd.” in Little Branch his entire life and was a Dairy Farmer for many years. He was on the Board of Directors at Northumberland Co-Op for 18 years. He was a member of the Miramichi Outback Trail Runners, and Baie-Ste-Anne Snowmobile Club, and was also a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church.
Eric is survived by his wife, Jean; one son, Jarret Glendenning, of Black River Bridge, NB; two sisters, Eileen Glendenning of Miramichi, and Loisanne Gregan (Lynn) of Hardwicke; one brother, Alton Glendenning (Roberta) of Black River Bridge, NB; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Judy Morton, and nephew, Christopher Gregan.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St. Miramichi, NB. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 20, 2023, from St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge, NB, at 11 AM with The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight and The Reverend David Allan officiating. Music for the service was provided by Barb Somers and Susan Butler and the hymns were "Amazing Grace", "The Old Rugged Cross" and the recessional hymn was "Going Home". The lighting of the memory candle was by Loisanne Gregan and remembrances of Eric was presented by Jessica Comeau. The scripture readings were read by Kelli Morton, Leanne Jardine and The Reverend David Allan. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Fowlie, Kevin Hallihan, Anerd MacDonald, Robert MacDiarmid, Rodney Dickson and Darren Taylor. Pallbearers were Matthew Gregan, Trevor Morton, Danny Morton, Kyle Morton, Spencer Morton, Martin Comeau and Cory Comeau. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Community Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
