         2004-2023

Ethan Thomas Walsh, of Black River Bridge, New Brunswick, passed away tragically as a result of a motor vehicle accident on March 11, 2023, at the age of 18. He was the son of Chris “Pete” Walsh and Jana MacDonald of Gardiner’s Point, NB, and Angie Lamkey of St. Margaret’s, NB.

Ethan was born in Miramichi, NB, on May 6, 2004.  He was currently working with E&R Plumbing with an aspiration to head to college within the year and become a Plumber.  He also enjoyed spending time roofing with his Dad “Pete”, loved hockey, trucks, country music, hunting, fishing, camps and anything to do with the outdoors. He was an independent and charismatic guy, known for his “life of the party” fun-loving and hilarious ways, and beautiful smile. He knew how to live life to its fullest. Ethan had a heart of gold and also adored his younger sister, Emma and his little three-year-old brother, Daxson.

Besides his parents, Ethan is survived by his sister, Emma Walsh; little brother, Daxson Walsh, both of Gardiner’s Point, NB; grandparents:  Patti Fowlie, Mae Walsh, Dwight Lamkey, and Joan MacDonald.  Ethan is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfathers: Byron Walsh, and Frank MacDonald. 

A visitation occurred at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, NB, on Monday, March, 27th, from 2-4 PM, and 6-9 PM.  A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 11 AM from St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge, with Pastor Kevin Matthews and The Reverend David Allan as Officiants.  Music for the service was provided by Cory Fowlie and the songs were "Ever Lost Someone Too Soon", "In the Garden" and "In The Lord's Arms" and the recessional song was "Good Ole Boys" from the Dukes of Hazzard.  A reading was read by Debbie Manuel and special memories were presented by Angie Lamkey and Greg MacDonald for Harry Wormell.     Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery at a later date.
