In Loving Memory of Everett McLaughlin

1938 – 2025

 

Everett McLaughlin of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away on December 23, 2025, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 87 years.

 

Loved and cherished by his family, Everett is survived by his sister, Lillias Manderson-Ross (Ted); nieces: Natalie (Francis), Sherrylynn (Grant), Pam, Sandra (late Pete); and his nephew, Andrew McLaughlin (Alana).

 

Everett was predeceased and reunited with his lifelong partner, Janet Enright; his brothers, James (Joyce) and Gerald; his father and mother, Archibald and Lillias (McCartney) McLaughlin.

 

Everett had a full career as an electrician working at the Chatham Canadian Forces Base.  He was a valued member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church.

 

All who knew Everett will remember him as a kind and gentle man who would selflessly lend a hand without question, and always had treats on hand for any pets he came across.

 

Cremation has taken place, and he will rest peacefully with his beloved parents.  Interment will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick, with a date and time to be announced later in the spring.  A lunch will follow in the church basement.

 

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Percy’s Place, Miramichi SPCA or Saint Mary’s Anglican Church, Miramichi.
