In Loving Memory of Flavien Turbide

1945 – 2026

Flavien Turbide of Glenwood, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 27, 2026, at the age of 81 years.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on January 14, 1945, he was the son the late Normand and Aurelie Turbide.  He was a truck driver for most of his working career.  He drove for Irving Oil and then for O’Donnell Construction.

Flavien enjoyed working outside, driving his lawn mower, and washing and polishing his car.  He would make multiple daily trips to the Irving for a coffee.

Flavien is survived by four sisters: Azilda McIntyre (Antonio) and Normande Manuel of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, Gloria Collette (Andre) of Bouctouche, New Brunswick, and Flore Turbide of Richibucto, New Brunswick; sisters-in-law: Shirley Rollings, Agnes Harper, Della Koley, and Beverly Hubbard; brother-in-law, John Harper; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents; his common-law partner, Joan Harper; parents-in-law: Charles and Mary Harper; brothers: Wilmond and Melderic; and two brothers-in-law: William (Billy) and Charles Leslie.

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King Street, Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and a funeral service followed at Adams Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m., with The Reverend Father David Rioux officiating.  Music for the service was recorded music and the hymns were "How Great Thou Art", "Amazing Grace" and "Here I Am Lord".  The scripture readings was read by John Harper and Gloria Collette.  Interment was in Black River Community Cemetery, Black River Bridge, New Brunswick.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Black River Community Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
