In Loving Memory of Frederick LeBelle

1935 – 2025

Joseph “Frederick” LeBelle of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at home on September 20, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born in Lagaceville, New Brunswick, on January 16, 1935, he was the son of the late Peter and Angele (Gautreau) LeBelle.  Frederick was in the Military and worked as an Airplane Mechanic.  He attended St. Michael’s Basilica.

Frederick is survived by two sisters: Olive LeBel of Miramichi, New Brunswick, and Elizabeth Richard of Richibucto-Village, New Brunswick; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Alma (Mazerolle) LeBelle; two sons: Gregory and Richard; six brothers: Pacal, Jule, Henry, Michael, James, and Frank; and one sister, Eva.

As per Frederick’s request, there was no visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Father John Fraser as Celebrant.  The music for the service was provided by Mr. David Bunnell and St. Michael's Choir and the hymns were "Amazing Grace", "Rest In God Alone", "Do Not Let Your Heart Be Troubled", "Like A Shepherd He Feed His Flock", "Songs Of The Angels" and the recessional hymn was "Into Your Hands".  The scripture readings was read by Peter LeBelle and the Prayers of the Faithful was proclaimed by Robert Comeau.  Interment will be in Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
