Gary Trevors Obituary

Gary F. Trevors

1945 – 2021

Gary Frank Trevors, 76, of Douglasfield, NB, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 24, 2021.

Born in Douglasfield on February 26, 1945, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Gerrish) Trevors. Gary was an Electrician by trade and retired from the District 16 School Board.    He was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church.

Gary is predeceased by his wife Linda Trevors, RN; and is survived by his daughters:  Cathy Bushey (Bernard), and Sherri Carroll (Paul); and his four grandchildren: Deidre Bushey, Logan Bushey, Alyssa Carroll, and Travis Carroll; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gary is also survived by his two sisters: Etta McCallum (George) of Miramichi, NB, and Gloria Heiduck (Larry) of Huntsville, Ontario.  He is predeceased by his four brothers: Benson, Theodore, Herbert, and Owen Trevors; and his sister, Lillian Foran.

Gary loved visiting with his family and would stop to talk to everyone he knew or didn’t know.  After his retirement he was willing to offer his services as an Electrician because he enjoyed people’s company.  He loved being outdoors working in his garden and driving through the woods.  When he wasn’t outside, he was sitting in his porch watching the horse, the blue birds, deer, and moose that would come to his yard.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Losier and the Staff of the Miramichi Regional hospital for his care over the years.

A PUBLIC visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 6-9 PM.  Funeral service was held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 30th, with Rev. Perry Cooper officiating, assisted by Rev'd Deacon Ted Quann, Rev'd Deacon Eddie Quann and Mr. Jim McCallum.  Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Janet Stothart and St. Paul's Anglican Church Choir.  The hymns were "Old Rugged Cross", "Amazing Grace", "Because He Lives" and the recessional hymn was "How Great Thou Art".  Poems "Safely Home" was read by George McCallum and "Close the Gate was read by Jim McCallum.  Interment was held in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Fred Trevors, Shawn Trevors, Doug Trevors, Mark Trevors, Derek Sullivan and Trevor McCallum

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, telephone (506) 773-3492, or messages of condolence may be sent online to www.adamsfh.ca
