Gilles Collette

1947 – 2024

À l`Hospice de Miramichi, le 14 février 2024, à l`âge de 76 ans et décédé Gilles Collette, époux de Patricia Roussel, domicilier à Douglaston. Né le 12 mai 1947, il était fils de feu Albert Collette et de feu Gilberte Parent.

Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil un fils Richard (Jenn) ; trois petits-enfants : Aiden, Jacob, Nathalia ; deux belles-filles et un beau-fils : Raymonde Anderson (Roger), Lise Leblanc (Bernard), Camile Brideau (Marise) ; cinq petits-enfants du deuxième mariage : Aaron (Mel), Michel, Keith, Victoria, Jasmine ; deux arrière-petits-enfants : Amelia et Xavier ; ses frères et sœurs : feu Claude, feu Robert, Julie (feu Hector Renaud), feu Gisele (Jean-Paul Lavalé), Denise (Roland Beaulne), feu Marie-Rose (feu Arthur potvin), feu Raymond (Patricia Servant), Pauline ( Raymond Desjardin), Paul (Linda Trempe), Feu Aline (feu Louis St.Amour), feu Maurice (Dorinne Craig), Lise (feu Daniel Lafleur), feu Hélène (feu Gaston Charrette), Louise, Claudette (Réal Allard), Roland (Joanne Meunier), feu Jean-Pierre ; plusieurs neveux et nièces ; ainsi qu`un filleul Jean-Guy Colette.

Gilles était un passionné de sport, il joué au Hockey mais surtout ce qu`il aimait le plus c`était le golf.

Il à travaillé à O.C. Transpo à Ottawa, vendeur de voiture chez Toyota, prop de golf à Toronto, terrain de golf à Elliot Lake ON et à Miramichi N.-B.

Un gros remerciement à l’Hospice de Miramichi pour les bons soins attribués à mon mari et les soins personnels qui m’ont attribué à moi.

Il n`y aura pas de visites à la maison funéraire. Une célébration de vie aura lieu à l`Église Catholique St Samuel, à une date ultérieur.

En guise de témoignages de sympathie qui sera apprécié par la famille, des dons peuvent être faits à une œuvre de bienfaisance au choix du donateur.

In Loving Memory of Gilles Collette

1947 – 2024

Gilles Collette, husband of Patricia Roussel, of Miramichi (Douglastown), passed away at the Hospice Miramichi on February 14, 2024, at the age of 76.

Born on May 12, 1947, he was the son of the late Albert Collette and the late Gilberte (Parent) Collette.

Gilles was an avid sportsman, he played field hockey, but what he loved the most was golf.  He worked at O.C. Transpo in Ottawa for a few years, then as car salesman at Toyota.  His true passion was being a golf pro in Toronto and then working at the golf course in Elliot Lake ON, and in Miramichi, NB.

In addition to his wife, Patricia Roussel; he is survived by a son, Richard (Jenn); three grandchildren: Aiden, Jacob, Nathalia; two daughters-in-law, and one son-in-law: Raymonde Anderson (Roger), Lise Leblanc (Bernard), Camile Brideau (Marise); five grandchildren from his second marriage: Aaron (Mel), Michel, Keith, Victoria, Jasmine; two great-grandchildren: Amelia and Xavier; brothers and sisters: the late Claude, the late Robert, Julie (the late Hector Renaud), the late Gisele (Jean-Paul Lavalé), Denise (Roland Beaulne), the late Marie-Rose (the late Arthur Potvin), the late Raymond (Patricia Servant), Pauline ( Raymond Desjardin), Paul (Linda Trempe), the late Aline (the late Louis St. Amour), the late Maurice (Dorinette), the late Paul (Pauline Amour), the late Maurice (Dorinne Craig), Lise (the late Daniel Lafleur), the late Hélène (the late Gaston Charrette), Louise, Claudette (Réal Allard), Roland (Joanne Meunier), the late Jean-Pierre; as well as many nieces and nephews; and a godson, Jean-Guy Colette.

A big thank you from Patricia to Hospice Miramichi for the good care that was given to her husband and the personal care that was given to her.

There will be no visitation. A celebration of Life will be held at St. Samuel Catholic Church, 36 St. Samuels St., Miramichi at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of the donor`s choice would be appreciated by the family.
