Henry C. A. MacDonald
1940 – 2020
Henry Charles Alexader MacDonald, husband of Anna (Connors) MacDonald of Miramichi and formerly of Black River Bridge, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 14, 2020 at the age of 79.
Born in Black River Bridge on November 12, 1940, he was the son of the late Duncan and Georgina (Jardine) MacDonald. He was a heavy equipment operator by trade and worked for different companies. He attended Douglastown Community Church.
He was a man of great faith and we knew that he was ready to go on his journey even though we weren’t quite so ready to say goodbye. He was also a man who stood up for what he believed in, even if he had to stand alone. You had no worries wondering where you stood with him, he would let you know exactly what he thought.
He loved horses, yard sales, wood working, painting, singing, Tim Horton’s coffee and going for drives, volunteering his time and he loved attending church. Most of all he loved God and his family.
Henry is survived by his wife Anna (Connors) MacDonald; two daughters: Karen Hay (Joseph) of Black River Bridge and Lori Harris (Tim Estey) of Miramichi; two sons Brian MacDonald (Sharon) and Dale MacDonald (Krista) all of Miramichi; eight grandchildren: Doug, Terri, Amy, Dana, Greg, Kaylee, Connor and Ryan; eight great grandchildren: Ethan, Hayley, Cameron, Nathan, Lexie, Parker, Samuel and Zoe; two brothers: Walter MacDonald (Bernadette) of Black River Bridge and Perley MacDonald (Del) of Medicine Hat, AB. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister Lila, three brothers Eldon, Ben and Lee.
In regards to the COVID – 19 Virus a private family visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home on Friday, April 17th. A funeral service will be held at a later time. Interment will be held in the Black River Community Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, telephone (506) 773-3492 or messages of condolence may be sent online to www.adamsfh.ca
