C'est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Jacques Gérald Manuel (Lalo) à la Régie régionale de la Santé de Miramichi à l'âge de 68 ans.  Il était le fils de feu Jim et Virginia (Martin) Manuel.

Gérald a travaillé chez Raymond O'Neill & Son Fisheries Ltd. pour plus de 20 ans. Il aimait jouer aux quilles, aux cartes, aux washers et faire du ski-doo.

Il laisse dans le deuil un frère, Adrien (Pat), 3 sœurs: Elzéa (Clément), Bernadette (Jean-Paul) et Zelma.  L'ont précédé dans la tombe 4 frères:  Meldric, Emile, Romuald et Ulysse.

Les visites auront lieu au Salon Sœur Blandine Martin, mercredi le 16 août 2023, de 14h00 jusqu'à 16h00 l'heure des funérailles. Messe célébrée avec Père Jean Belisle.

En mémoire de Gérald, un don à la Paroisse Sainte-Anne de Baie-Sainte-Anne, NB, serait apprécié.

La famille désire remercier les infirmières et toute autre personne au 3 Est pour les bons soins donnés à Gérald pendant son séjour de 3 mois.  Un grand merci au Dr. Gerard Losier et au Dr. Praba.

In Loving Memory of Jacques Gerald Manuel “Lalo”

July 19, 1955-August 9, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacques Gerald Manuel (Lalo) at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 68.  Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, NB, he was the son of the late Jim and Virginia (Martin) Manuel.

Gerald worked at Raymond O'Neill & Son Fisheries Ltd. for over 20 years. He really enjoyed bowling, playing washers, cards and going snowmobiling with friends.

He is survived by one brother, Adrien (Pat); as well as his three sisters: Elzea (Clement), Bernadette (Jean-Paul) and Zelma. He was predeceased by brothers: Meldric, Romuald, Ulysse and Emile as an infant.

Gerald will be resting at the Soeur Blandine Martin Slumber Room, located in the basement of the Sainte-Anne Roman Catholic Church in Baie-Sainte-Anne, on Wednesday, August 16,2023, from 2:00 PM until the time of the funeral at 4:00 PM.  The Funeral Mass will take place at the Sainte-Anne Roman Catholic Church with Father Jean Belisle as Celebrant.

As expression of sympathy, a donation to La Paroisse Sainte-Anne, in Baie-Sainte-Anne, NB, would be appreciated by the family.

The Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Nurses and staff of 3 East for the good care given to Gerald for the past 3 months. Also, many thanks to Dr. Gerard Losier and Dr. Praba.
